W. O. W.
Word of the Week
Word of the Week
Oral language and vocabulary play an important role in literacy development. Students benefit from repeated exposure to tier 2 words. W.O.W. was introduced as a way for the students of Central to increase their exposure to a more robust vocabulary and to improve collaboration between our school and community.
Tier 2 words appear frequently, in multiple academic subjects and readings, but are rarely encountered in social conversations. |
